I was pondering what to do for the next post and I thought, “I really need to learn to make these simple cards I see on everyone’s else’s blogs”. They all look modern, clean and super simple to make. And my blog is called “Very Simply Susan”, so you think I would be a simply stamped stamper, right? Well, most times I am not. So, to start simple, I thought I would choose a color scheme. I picked Pear Pizzaz and Early Espresso because that is what my bedroom is decorated in. For some accent, I chose Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake. I also made a color combo logo using our dear old MDS. But I can’t promise you will always see that!
Choose Happiness is a favorite set I don’t use it nearly often enough and I went with it. I lined up the three card stocks using my Stampin’ Up grid paper. They are spaced “1 square” apart. I thought it came out pretty good. But now I am thinking,” I could have embossed the Early Espresso and Pear Pizzaz layers and added some ribbon and maybe colored in the center of the flower with yellow. Maybe I should have put the whole design on another layer“….well as you can see “going to simple” is tough. Is there a support line for stampers who have trouble not obsessing and not overdoing it? Send me the number, please!
