Today’s card is in response to a new weekly challenge, the “Global Design Project” I have been wanting to join a challenge, but just haven’t been moved to do it. This week’s challenge is all about the colors. I never use pink. To use it is a real challenge for me. In fact to even do this challenge, I had to coax every tiny bit of ink I could out of my old fabric Pink Pirouette ink pad that must be 5 or 6 years old. It is one of 2 I have never replaced with the new foam!
I wanted a “holiday card look”, but this card could go anywhere – birthdays, bat mitzvahs, quinceanera, communions, baby, you name it. I loved how the card came out! The next challenge was getting a good photo of it. I had to finagle the lighting and those are Pearls, not ink spots! I finally got something fairly decent to show, thank you Photoshop! I hope this card challenges you to try something out of your comfort zone!

I love this card Susan. You’ve totally inspired me to actually use my stash of corrugated paper – it looks so fab. Good on you for playing along with us at GDP even when the pink was tough going! Hope we see more of your lovely creations in the coming weeks and months!

Susan I am so delighted that this weeks Global Design Project challenge inspired you to play along this week and I hope you play along many weeks to come. I just adore this card, I just commented to someone else I would never think to use these colours for a holiday card but it works SO very well.
Susan says
Thank you! And I was thinking you would be the one who could have done this!

Susan you can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. I would never have attempted this color combination and you did a great job!!
